The RI Fire Chiefs Honor Flight Hub traveled to Washington DC on Sunday, September 29, 2024 with Honor Flight "High Voltage". The major sponsor of the flight was the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Sixty veterans were on the flight, most accompanied by "guardians" to attend to their every need. In total, one hundred and three people made the one day trip to visit the memorials in the DC area. The two oldest veterans laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, assisted by two representatives of the IBEW.
