The RI Association of Fire Chiefs & the RIAFC Foundation held its Installation of Officers Banquet on March 2, 2024 at Bella Restaurant in Burrillville. Chief Robert E. Bradley Jr was sworn in as the RIAFC President and Chief John Silva III was sworn in as the new President of the RIAFC Foundation. Chief Scott Kettelle was recognized for the fantastic body of accomplishments during the past two years that he served as President. He was presented with the President's ring and given a standing ovation. Flowers were presented to Chief Kettelle's girlfriend, Deb Bouchard to thank her for her support through this two year term.
Flowers were also presented to the wives of both presidents, Michelle Bradley and Trish Silva. Chief Bradley made two special presentations as well. Holly Susi, wife of RIAFC executive director Chief Richard Susi, Ret., was given a bouquet of flowers for her support of the RIAFC and its executive director. Chief Bradley also presented his granddaughter Ella, with an ELMO stuffy wearing a fire helmet.
Other officers sworn in for the RIAFC were Chief Mike DeMello as 1st vice president and Chief Tim Walsh as 2nd vice president. Chief Nick Anderson was sworn in as Sergeant at Arms. Chief Mike Gingell was sworn in as vice president of the RIAFC Foundation. Directors for the RIAFC Foundation sworn in were Chief David Chartier and Chief Michael Dexter.
Previous Presidents in attendance were Chiefs Scott Partington (2020-21), Frank Brown (2018-19), Robert Seltzer (2006) and Richard Susi (2005). |
