New England Division Secretary/Treasurer Position Open

This position requires you to be an Active Member of the IAFC and Division in good standing. See the by-laws Article IV active members. Retired Fire Chiefs are eligible if they meet the requirement of Article VIII and IV Active Retired Member of the by-laws and qualify as a IAFC retired member in accordance with the IAFC by-laws.

Attached is the job description, which includes the duties of the secretary/treasurer, exhibit and event coordinator, as well as other officers in the division.  This position requires an average of 25-30 hours a week.

This position will be voted by the full membership in good standing at the Annual Meeting of the New England Division June 23, 2022, 17:00.  The meeting will take place at the DCU Center 3rd floor, Worcester, MA.

The Barrington Fire Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of firefighter.  The individual should demonstrate good moral character and judgement, be able to handle high pressure situations, and demonstrate good problem-solving and leadership skills. The Town of Barrington’s Fire Department is an integral part of the public safety system in the Town and continually strives to provide a caring, courteous and a highly competent Fire and Rescue Emergency service. We service over 17,000 residents and a small business district in town.  With over 19 miles of coastline, Barrington is known as a seaside community with a beautiful town beach and five marinas.


Salary:  $47,373 with regular step increases to $65,971


Minimum Application Requirements:

  1. Minimum age of 18 years at the time of application
  2. High School Diploma or GED
  3. Valid Motor Vehicle License & Good Driving Record
  4. Clean Criminal History
  5. Current Nationally Registered EMT.
  6. Only RIAFC Physical Performance Assessment dated October 2021 or April 2022 will be accepted.

Foster Ambulance Corps is seeking to fill several EMT and EMT-C positions. Openings are per-diem 12 and 24 hr shifts. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, RI EMT license, and CPR card.

EMT, AEMT:          $18.00/hr, plus overtime

AEMT-C, EMT-P:    $21.00/hr, plus overtime

Per-diem to full time pathway with a pay step, 24/72 schedule, 401K match, and health/dental is available as positions open.
